Me, too!

Kiki, Connie (Hull-o) and I had our set in Center Camp at 2:40 on Thursday and halfway thru the 2nd song we were hit with the storm! I could barely see the audience but could hear the music fine...so we kept on dancing. The crowd really started to whoop it up, I think it was the excitement of the white out but maybe a little bit of appreciation for our perseverence. & A mighty thanks to the bellies who joined us onstage at the end, too. What a wild ride! Needless to say, the three of us decided to opt out of the invasion and were happy to get back to camp in one piece (Kiki wrote "Machka Groove" in the dust on my PVC vest...the pictures are pretty funny...).

Next year...next year...

Nope, I didn't make it either. Snuggling with my honey in our van sounded like more fun than braving the sandstorm.

I did make it out to Iron Rose's Tuesday night hafla, and that was a LOT of fun. It was great to meet a few folks and the live drumming was awesome!

I went out to see if there were other dancers out there but no one was there and I was late.. oh well that is how it goes.
