It has come to my attention that there's really no one place that details have been posted about this event so I'm gonna post it here and bump it to the top every so often.
Anyway, here's the skinny:
3rd annual belly dance Cafe invasion and 2nd annual trek to the man and more!
Friday, approx 5pm.
Hordes of belly dancers, drummers and musicians will descend upon the cafe and take it over in an undulating mass before swarming out to the man and on to Andie grace (actiongrrl)'s wedding.
We generally meet up at a few differnt camps around the city (to be posted when we know locations) then meet at the cafe and BAM! take over with shimmies!
There are absoultely no requirements to participate in this, just a desire to show up and have fun. Butt shaking encouraged!
This event is how the burning bellies group got started and we encourage everyone to participate, the more the merrier!

www.water-brother.com.
Once we get our address assignments I will add them to the water brother site. For each of the events there is a short description, where we will meet and the contact person(s) for the event, and or a link to the village/theme camp that is hosting the event.
Before the center camp invasion there will be a costuming exchange at Pyramid Scheme. If you have something you want to drop off, or if you need to take something please feel free to do so. The clothing exchange will start about 4:30.
Our "official" time that we are scheduled for Center camp is 5:30...pm but we also need to keep playa time in mind, and that this is an invasion.. so we will be there 5:00, 5:08 5:15 5:30, or when we get there... :).
Also, a lot of of the Burning Bellies events are going to be listed in the What When Where that is given out as we pass the greeters station coming in to BRC.

I communicated a while back with Ivy and I did not want to post anything until I was sure to be an official photographer at BM. I made it! My focus will be rythm of the playa through dance.I will be taking still images of all dancers that allow me. I will have release forms for those you do to sign. I will send a printed photo to all that do.
I would love to take photos of every one at the cafe and at other events (different times of the day, different light).
Do you mind if I photograph you? I have a few images posted in my profile for you to check out!

I am so very excited you will be doing that on the playa for the Center Cafe invasion. I will definitley be there and look forward to meeting you earlier on the playa than Friday. Stop by Pyramid Scheme if you have a chance.. I will post our address on line as soon as we get it.

Thu, August 5, 2004 - 9:42 AMThe Center Cafe invasion will start at Pyramid Scheme and a camp on the other side of town.. we will meet a the other groups of dancers at Cafe and dance for a while and then we will head out to the Man where we will dance until we are tired and then go about out night :). Because of the length of space between Pyramid Scheme and Center Camp we will not dance to Center camp but will walk making a bunch of noise recruiting, and assimlating dancers and musicians along the way.
There is a glow invasion that is going to be held on Tuesday Night at the greeters station.
