Ivy once said... if you are going to cry if it gets lost or ruined.. Dont take it. I have a bra and belt set I love which is orange and yellow but I would be beside myself if something happened to it so it doesnt go to Burning Man... I have a new bra and belt set that is light blue and I am debating whether or not to take it to the playa.

Some advice from the past I remember:
to clean your coins use simple green it wont make metal tarnish or rust
Keep all of your jewlery in plastic bags unless you are using it
Actually all of my belly dance stuff stays in plastic bags
find some comfy shoes you can dance in (I have worn my tevas in the past because the playa could tear up your feet.
Wash all of your stuff either by hand or gental cycle as soon as you get home.

I am sure there was more from last year at the this time but I cant think of it now..
